As of January 2024, Kenya has eliminated traditional visa requirements for all visitors. Instead, travelers are required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before arrival. To apply for the eTA, you’ll need the following documents:
Valid Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in Kenya.
Travel Itinerary: Details of your planned activities in Kenya, including accommodation bookings and return or onward travel tickets.
Recent Passport-Sized Photograph: A digital photo meeting standard passport photo requirements.
Proof of Accommodation: Confirmation of hotel reservations or an invitation letter from a host in Kenya.
Proof of Sufficient Funds: Evidence that you have adequate financial means to cover your stay, such as bank statements or a letter from your employer.
The eTA application is completed online, and it’s advisable to apply at least 7 days before your departure to allow for processing. Ensure all documents are accurate and up-to-date to facilitate a smooth application process.
A complete Kenyan circuit safari — covering all the major parks and reserves like Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu, Amboseli, Tsavo East & West, and Nairobi National Park — typically takes 10 to 14 days for a well-paced, immersive experience.
Here’s a breakdown:
Spend 2–3 days in each major destination
Enjoy relaxed travel time between parks (some are far apart)
Soak in both wildlife and cultural experiences without rushing
Include buffer time for rest or optional activities like balloon safaris or Maasai village visits
Day 1 – Arrival & Nairobi National Park
Day 2-3 – Samburu National Reserve
Day 4-5 – Lake Nakuru National Park
Day 6-8 – Maasai Mara (ideal for the Great Migration)
Day 9-10 – Amboseli National Park (Mount Kilimanjaro views)
Day 11-12 – Tsavo East & Tsavo West
Day 13 – Return to Nairobi / departure
If time is limited, you can do a “Northern or Southern circuit”, focusing on fewer parks like:
Maasai Mara + Lake Nakuru + Amboseli, or
Samburu + Ol Pejeta + Aberdare + Nairobi Park
We offer safari experiences in:
Maasai Mara National Reserve
Amboseli National Park
Tsavo East & Tsavo West
Lake Nakuru National Park
Samburu National Reserve
Nairobi National Park
Ol Pejeta conservancy
Meru national Park
Kisite Marine Park
You can book single-park safaris or combine multiple parks in one trip.
Kenya is home to the Big Five (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo) and countless other species like giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles, flamingos, and rare species like the Grevy’s zebra and gerenuk.
The best months are the dry seasons:
June to October (Great Migration in Maasai Mara)
January to March (great visibility and good weather)
Rainy seasons (April–May, November) are lush and less crowded but can make some roads muddy.
